SELF SUFFICIENT STOCKING

 

All our fish are true British carp, grown from original stock. Our newly installed stock ponds enables Wingham Fisheries to have a self-sufficient breeding programme creating our fish of the future. Four stock ponds and a large indoor fish tank currently house young carp, like the little beauty below.

Each year fry are extracted from our lakes and grown in predator free environments. Once big enough, new C4s are introduced into our lakes, replenishing any fish lost over the years. This provides our lakes with the ability to rejuvenate stock so that the future is safe and our members always have exciting new fish to catch every year. We have weird and wonderful mirror patterns, fully scaled delights and lots of big commons so our lakes house a wide range of carp.
